who we are

We believe in holistic education that supports young people academically and socially. Working alongside PSHE curriculums, The Collective Futures Project combines discourse with critical thinking to develop young minds.

Dialogic approach

It starts with a conversation. We’re not here to provide the answers, we’re here to inspire young people to engage with new ideas, interrogate their assumptions and question their place in society. We lead by example, fostering a respectful environment in which to have difficult conversations.

youth-led

Behavioural change is less likely to happen in a formal setting. By providing a space to engage with students as their peers, we foster an environment that encourages honest, relevant and thoughtful conversations. Our speakers can draw on personal experiences, sharing ideas and working together with students to re-imagine our society.

social tool-kit

Being informed gives you choices. Offering students the tools to critically engage with and question the future will help them as they navigate the pressures of adolescence and give them the freedom to learn.

How We Work

Our Goals

expanding horizons

We hope to create longstanding relationships with schools, returning regularly to work with pupils and support teachers. We plan to expand our network of public speakers, training more young people to deliver talks and contribute to these discussions.

school curriculums

We want to see greater awareness of social inequalities and cultural challenges entrenched in future PSHE curriculums, and we’re here to support schools as they do this. We want the next generation to be equipped to navigate society outside of academic life, whatever their plans for the future.

supporting graduates

As we grow, we plan to provide young people with a way to support themselves whilst making a difference. University students have so much creativity to offer, we’d love to help them develop their careers alongside their studies.

social justice

In the long term, we hope that many of our services become redundant. We hope that issues of discrimination and inequality are eradicated but until then, we will continue to center activism and charity in our work.
